Since this is a wide-angle shot, I had to get quite close to the fountain to capture the effect I wanted. Instead of using a tripod, I got near the water (where there wasn't too much splashing) and used my wallet to prop up the camera from the base of the fountain.
Another challenge was people :-). Even at around 10pm, the memorial was quite crowded on a good summer day.
This is an experiment with a wider aperture than I usually take pictures at. The two bottles are colognes, and I wanted to get a sort-of "dominoe-effect" going. I experimented with a variety of different lightings, but this one felt right.
The very orangish rocks in this location caught my eye when I was on vacation months ago. This area was very serene and quiet, but I heard later that this side of the island isn't really very tourist-friendly for a variety of reasons!
