Lorenzo lives in the hills of Palawan. He is a subsistence farmer that looks after a desolate guest house for extra income. We got chatting and he asked if I would like to visit some caves. I agreed, and we began to climb the hills at the base of the jungle. After 90 minutes he admitted he was lost and couldn’t find the caves. On our way back to the path we did stumble on a set of caves. Lorenzo admitted, this was not the caves we were looking for. But we ventured inside anyhow. We were not disappointed. Inside there were 2 large chambers measuring over 20 meters high. We eventually scrambled back to his house for tea and rice.
