This is a royal Islamic mosque located in the apparently abandoned city of Bandar Seri Begawan, the capital of the Sultanate of Brunei.
It cost USD $5000000 to build and is one of the ridiculously absorbatant ways the sultan shows off just how well off he is.

Marco here gave me a lift up the Kayan river in Kalimantan. He was on a long boat hunting expedition with his family. They caught fish, turtle, and shot wild boar.

Lake Poso
Pendolo is a great place to relax for a while. The beach bungalows are cheep and usually uninhabited. At night there are few lights around the lake. The area is relatively uninhabited, since the violence in Poso (1998-2006). The good news now is everything is cool and its a great place to tour, despite the FCO warnings.

This dear old lady was kind enough to let me stay with her family for 4 days while the funeral was going on. The majority of the family were supposed to stay in specially constructed temporary accommodation at the funeral village. There they had there own kitchen and had to cook for themselves for the duration of the ceremonies.
