The splashing waves of the white lake tell a long forgotten story.
In ancient Mongolian folk tales, the lake was known to be very angry, and everyone who came close was sucked into the lake. Until a town nearby summoned the local monastery to help them. Each day a monk would come and pray. And every time, the monks would get sucked into the lake. This happened for many months, until the head monk of the monastery decided to do something, well, he was running out of students anyway. He went north to find a powerful Shaman. After many months of searching he found the most powerful Shaman in the land that was prepared to make the ultimate sacrifice to help the people of the lake. The shaman prepared a ceremony where 1000 pots of milk were to be poured into the lake. The village had to provide the milk, but could only find 999's pot of milk. The shaman proceeded regardless. The lake was furious when the ceremony proceeded and the milk was not enough to appease it. The result of the shamans efforts was that the lakes anger could still come back at any time. As it was short of one pot of milk, it was to be named "The White Lake".
