The Bronica has TWO mechanisms to prevent accidental exposure. If the dark-slide is in the back, the camera will not fire. I have a motor drive, and if that is turned off, the camera will not fire (the front shutter button also has a mechanical lock - although I use a cable release after locking the mirror up to prevent vibration)
