Fragmented Rays Of Morning...
Standing there in the early dusk, the new morning sun struggled to break through the pale grey mist, which had settled deep in the woods overnight.
This previously darkened space slowly began to awaken as the sun made its way skyward, the light becoming stronger and brighter with each passing minute... sending small darts of sunlight piercing through the fog, spreading outward like little beams of white; each one riding upon the fog scattering the darkness.
It was as if the coming day was drawing a picture for me upon the canopy of the fog shrouded trees. Reminding me that there is hope in each new day, there is an unspoken promise of new opportunity, that light overcomes darkness every single time, though sorrow may last through the night, joy comes in the morning.

In The Light Of The Common Day...
Monday was a typical November day with no sun and cool temperatures, the lake was calm and still, the air was brisk with a crisp fall chill, the daylight was diffused by the thick heavy cloud cover.
Karen and I ventured out and spent a few hours hiking the trails of Heart Lake. stopping occasionally to look and listen... marveling at the quiet stillness... it is at these times of solitude when away from the stresses of life, that one finds peace for the soul it brings one to a calm retrospective place where you can forget about everything; if even for a moment..

Beach Willow...
A large storm front rolled through Southern Ontario and hammered the Lake Ontario shoreline with heavy Winds and rain, just before the storm hit, we ventured into Jack Darling Park to take a few photos. Strong upper level winds blew the clouds to and fro; rising and falling this way and that, the heaviest thickest clouds pushing the thinner ones all over the horizon.
We managed to snap around thirty shots when the rain soaked clouds burst open and we were forced to find shelter.. this is shot of a weeping willow only a few feet from the turbulent shoreline .

It was a very cold, overcast and windy Tuesday at Jack Darling Park in Mississauga; the white capped waves were roiling and crashing against the shore with a deafening fury.
this huge tree trunk complete with roots, has been pushed around the shore for quite some time now. the mid fall sun hung low on the horizon casting some awesome shadows on this gnarl y tangled piece of drift wood.
