Southern Ontario just went through the worst ice storm in many years. Trees some hundreds of years old were destroyed by the weight of the two inch thick ice that encased their branches. So many branches broke under the weight of the ice that entire parks and forests were decimated.

Easter Flowers...

We bought mom some Easter flowers for her dinner table; as we will all be there for the traditional Easter dinner.

The years have gone by so quickly and mom is now in her late eighties. it is our turn to provide the food and all the treats. Now she sits with a big smile on her face, as we fuss over her and make sure she is lavished with the same love with which she showed to us .

Happy Easter everyone... go be with those you love while you have them.

A Blast Of Winter ...

A heavy snow fell Saturday night covering everything with a thick layer of fresh fluffy white snow. We got up early and headed to the park where we found ourselves in a scene from the movie Narnia; snow was falling from the branches above every time the wind blew. at times it was as if it was still snowing... with so much snow falling from the heavy laden branches overhead.

The forest hiking trail was smooth and untouched, ready to be explored, full of expectant discovery.

Into The White...

As we Entered the east entrance to the park we were amazed by the covering of snow on the trees. it looked like a scene from the movie Narnia the lion the witch and wardrobe where Lucy Pevensie meets the Mr Tumnus... a wonderful movie and this was a magical scene.

Tall Trees...

A heavy snow fell last night covering everything with a thick layer of fresh fluffy white snow. We got up early and headed to the park where we found ourselves in a scene from the movie Narnia; snow was falling from the branches above every time the wind blew. at times it was as if it was still snowing... with so much snow falling from the heavy laden branches overhead.

At one point I looked up to see the sun was just peaking through the tops of the trees. i snapped a few shots and captured it perfectly, exactly as it was happening. then as soon as it appeared it vanished in the overcast thick sky..
