When most people think of the emergence of spring, they think about spring blooms, perhaps even "April showers", baby animals, or the greening up of fields. For me, my internal seasonal clock tells me that it's time to get ready for the owls ... specifically burrowing owls.
Over the past years in Florida, I have enjoyed many visits with the burrowing owls and it's an experience that never fails to elicit laughter, squeals of joy, and the sensation of my heart melting with love when I sit back and enjoy their silly antics and interactions. Here in Colorado, it's not the same, though sightings are out there for the extremely patient. I'm ready for the challenge.
So, even though as many of you know, I've totally loved the winter season, I say ... bring on the spring ... blooms, showers, baby animals (definitely baby animals), greening up, and of course ... burrowing owls. :-)
