It has been over a year since my last visit to the Sol Duc forest. For so many reasons, I have been too busy to carve out a day to visit my favorite place. Patience will be needed as freedom to explore will be on the back burner for several more months. It is tough not being in such beautiful, peaceful surroundings.

I have always enjoyed making portraits and on this occasion, my son Cole was shooting a music video for our mutual friend Kyle. I was along for the shoot and helping out when asked. I ended up making this photograph and liked it well enough to showcase his fine album. Hope you like it!

This past weekend, my hiking friend Kelsie and I headed to the northern Olympic Peninsula for some much needed R & R. This view was three feet from the zipper opening of my tent. Yep......it was a good outing!
