Csokonai Theatre | Debrecen | Hungary

The Csokonai National Theatre is the first stone theatre in Debrecen. The theatre was built between 1861 and 1865 according to the plans of Antal Szkalnitzky, an architect from Pest, and was opened on 7 October 1865. It was named after Mihály Csokonai Vitéz in 1915 and was granted national theatre status in 2012.
