Rough wind. Hurting little Delta. Wish I brought the PFK.

The little rascal did well. Next time I'll be nice. :)

First flight with the über fresh autoKAPduino rig based on a Nano.
Which did great.
Out in the freezing cold.
With a friend who needed to test his über fresh Didak Giant Lotus Delta.
Which is a lovely kit as well.

This picture was taken with a camera rig suspended from a kite line.

This makes me happy. :)

Home made rig with 3 servo's connected to an Arduino Nano.

The third servo, next to the pan and tilt servo, is for firing the LX3 and LX5.

The Arduino is scripted to pan 360 degrees in 8 positions.
Firing 5 pictures in every position.
And to do that again in 4 different tilt positions.
Works like a charm. :)

Bought broken.
Repaired.
Doing very well.

My dad used to have a yellow/green cotton Cody when I was very young.
To me that was a magical kite and when I bumped into this dented Cody I could not resist.

All the spars needed repair and I made lines from the lower front corners to the wingtips.
Seems very stable now even in typical gusty northern Dutch wind.
Strong puller but gentle in a way.
Seems more friendly then my HQ FlowForm 2 in the same kind of wind.

I think I fell in love this afternoon. ;)

Electra and the Waterwolf revisited.

The ground water level is really high again in our area of the Netherlands so I was hoping that the Waterwolf, one of the largest pumping stations of the Netherlands like the one in Lemmer, was active.
But it was not.
Bummer.

The wind was really fierce, around 5 to 7 bft, so the PFK Nighthawk was the only way to go.
And it loved it.

Long live the fresh nose! :)

This image was taken by a camera lifted by a kite.
