Dear friends,
I just wanted to break my 'one picture a week' routine and put something new.
This comes from a session I had a couple weeks after my summer trip in Spain. I have other captures from this sunset that I really like, might upload them sooner or later.
I usually try to avoid the smallest f/stops in order not to lose resolution due to diffraction, but in this case I had to choose f/22 to keep almost everything in focus.
This longer exposure also blurred some flowers a little, but I do like it.
Can't wait to try my TS-E 24 out to get shots sharper than this at f/5.6-f/8!

The shot
Shot 50 km from where I live, in one of the most beautiful sunsets I've experienced here.
The Processing
Camera Raw
- Adjusted White Balance
Photoshop (2 minutes processing):
- Switched to LAB to pull out some nice colors;
- Added two Soft Light layer to adjust light;
- Added a low opacity photo filter to warm part of the sky up;
- Resized for the Web (1200px);
- Applied an Unsharp Mask to slightly improve contrast;
- Smart Sharpen + More accurate (On luminosity 'blending mode' with the sky masked off);
- Framing and Signature.
Take a look at it,
