FRONT PAGE!!! Highest position: 33 on Sunday, October 31, 2010
This comes from my first sunrise session in Paris.
Before leaving, I tracked the position of the rising sun and it appeared that this classic view could be worth trying.
To get this I had to jump over a pillar top of Trocadero: nobody was there and I could do it, I don't think it would have been possible just a few hours after!
This elevated position resulted in a better composition, with the tower reflecting in the fountain and some good lines.
This is one of those views I will never forget: I had been there before, but watching the tower surrounded by that great warm morning light was amazing.
Moreover, this place is usually crowded and noisy, while (for almost the whole session) I was there alone and had the tower all for myself!
This is almost straight from the camera: I placed a three stop GND to reduce the dynamic range of the scene and just waited for the 30s+ of the exposure.
By the way, I just received a TS-E 24 T/S. I have tried it this morning and have been amazed. Stay tuned for its captures.

The Processing
Photoshop (2 minutes processing):
- Added a Color Balance layer to warm things up;
- Erased a dust spot using the healing brush;
- Resized for the Web (1200px);
- Applied an Unsharp Mask to slightly improve contrast;
- Smart Sharpen + More accurate (On luminosity 'blending mode' with the sky masked off);
- Framing and Signature.
