My article on infrared photography is finally online!! Check it out HERE

Check out my website: go to my profile for the link.

I will appreciate a lot any feedback on it. Please don't complain about its layout, we're working on it.

My interest on infrared photography is at its highest now: when I switched to the 5d2 I kinda stopped shooting infared but now I'm totally back to it.

This image, anyway, comes from my archives: it was shot over an year ago with my 400d and 10-22 lens (now sold).

During that sunset session, not far from where I live, beautiful dramatic clouds walked into the scene and created a splendid motion in the sky.
As for composition, those vineyards provided some splendid lines!

Details
- CANON 400d, EF-S 10-22 @ 10 mm, f/8, 30 s, ISO 200
- Mirror Lockup, Canon Remote Shutter
- Hoya R72 (720 nm Infrared Filter)
- Tripod

The shot
Shot in the beautiful oltrepo hills, not far from where I live

The Processing

Photoshop:

- Converted to black and white using NIK Silver Efex Pro plugin;
- Added 9 Overlay layers to dodge/burn selectively;
- Resized for the Web (1200px);
- Applied an Unsharp Mask to slightly improve contrast;
- Smart Sharpen + More accurate (On luminosity 'blending mode' with the sky masked off);
- Framing and Signature.

Take a look at it, LARGE on Black :
