It's nice to have some time to upload something new...
I'm more and more in love with the 5d2, I'm realizing how much a bright viewfinder makes photography more pleasurable!!!
Last week I placed the order for a complete Lee GND filter set, they should arrive soon!
The remote is here, this weekend I will try some long exposures at night....
Work is always keeping me busy, I don't have that much time to shoot, but I will try to do the best I can.
Hope everything is fine with you, I'm sorry if I can't visit your albums as I used to!!!
This shot was captured after attending "Immagini del Settimo Giorno" Michael Kenna exhibition in Reggio Emilia.
I already knew his stuff, and it had been a really great pleasure to see some of his finest shots.
I think that this shot could have been inspired by him. Hope you like it.

- CANON 5d Mark II, EF 17-40 @ 33mm, f/11, 1/10 s, ISO 100. (focus was placed on the first pole, so the background isn't sharp, I know)
- Weighted tripod
The shot
Shot a few minutes after sunset. There was an heavy wind blowing, I had to place my photo backpack as a weight on my tripod, in order to prevent blurring
The Processing
Photoshop:
- Cropped to 16:9 in order to improve composition;
- Converted to Black and White using Silver Efex Pro;
- Added 13 overlay layers to equalize light as I wanted;
- Multiplied the sky;
- Added an S curve to improve contrast a little;
- Cloned away some distracting elements in the upper left corner;
- Multiplied the sky again, with a low % blending;
- Added a curve layer to lighten up the foreground a little;
- Run Neat Image to get rid of the little noise present;
- Improved the contrast with an Unsharp Mask tune;
- Resized
- Sharpening (Smart Sharpen + more accurate, first pole only)
- Framing and signature.
