My dear friends,
yesterday I made a really terrible discovery: Pier Luigi (
gigilivorno) left us.
Many of you probably know him. He was one of my oldest friends I had here on Flickr,
I received great support and it had been a great pleasure to have been, even if in a small portion, part of his life here on Flickr. I will surely miss you. R.I.P. GIGI!!!!

sono stato assente per lungo tempo da Flickr e appena tornato ho scoperto, con sommo dispiacere, che Pier Luigi (
gigilivorno) ci ha lasciato.
Non ho avuto la fortuna di conoscerlo dal vivo, ma i nostri scambi di messaggi e commenti mi hanno dato moltissimo. E' stato uno dei miei primi contatti qui su Flickr e uno dei pochi con cui ho sempre mantenuto un rapporto di reciproca stima ed affetto. Mi mancherai. Riposa in pace, caro Gigi!!!

Shot last October in Levanto.
The Processing
Photoshop:
- Merged two exposures using a gradientlayer mask
- Switched to LAB color space to pull out some nice colors.
- Used the Lens correction tool to remove distortion and straighten and level the horizon
- Created 5 Overlay layers to adjust light.
- Added a Color Balance adjustment to equalize colors.
- Improved microcontrast with Unsharp Mask
- Resized
- Sharpened (SS + More Accurate)
- Framing and signature.
