Taken 2nd June 2017 in my garden in the Charente, France. My attention (and lens) were focussed on the eye of the hummingbird hawkmoth, so imagine my surprise when I looked at the image on my computer and saw, for the first time, the tiny insect that it completely dwarfs. I have now had help in identifying it. It is a Mediterranean Katydid nymph - Phaneroptera nana nymph.

Camera: Nikon d300
