The long cones of the Norway spruce have subtly textured scales.
Taken Tuesday 26 February 2019, to support a photo club theme on 'Textures' for March.
Apparently the word ‘spruce’ is derived from the French word ‘Pruce’ meaning Prussia, from where these trees are believed to have originated.
