I went out last night to get some sunset shots at the beach and the night
turned in to much more than I had planned. After dinner at the Stinking
Rose in San Francisco, I decided to see just how far you could drive up the
hill where
Sutro Tower is located. We ended up at a viewing area atop Twin
Peaks and the view of San Francisco's skyline was simply stunning. It's
one of the few places where you can take in the sheer expanse of the Bay
Area. I walked around the roads till I found a location where I could see
straight down Market Street. The distance made the buildings look much
like toys. Market Street glowed golden and nearly drowned out all the
light coming from the rest of the city. To the far end of Market Street you
can see the San Francisco Port Building. The lacy lights of the San
Francisco Oakland Bay Bridge can be seen to the right side of the image.
We stayed till 3AM before deciding it was time to head home. Such a great
view will indeed be visited again. See my map if you wish to visit this
