Image Description: |
The last bit of light from the sunset shimmers across the vast expanse of Mono Lake as seen from a small reflecting pond surrounded by wildflowers. The vista is a unique one where you can see the vast salt lake from a freshwater pond and the creek that feeds it. Mono Lake sits just below the High Sierras. It’s snow fed creeks flowing into the massive lake. Known for its alien rock formations called Tufas which can be found along the South shore of Mono Lake, the immense lake is a wonderland of scenic landscapes. The tufas along are worth a visit but the lake is stunning from any view. |
