User / Darvin Atkeson / Sun and Fog contend for dominance over Point Lobos

Standing out on the point looking back towards Carmel the rocks around
Whalers Cove jut out in to the Pacific. Like many areas along the
California Coastline fog and sunlight jockey for position over Point Lobos
State Park and Marine Wildlife Preserve. It would be completely fogged in
one moment and then completely clear the next. This makes for sometimes
mixed results in photography as it is hard to predict what a day at Point
Lobos will look like. Even with the chance of a foggy day I still highly
recommend visits to the park for photography. The stunning seascapes,
hanging moss and wildlife make for a good day even in bad weather. And if
the weather is just too bad for photography, there is always the Monterey
Bay Aquarium just over the hills. This day was a mixture of fast moving
fog flowing over the rocks and hills of Point Lobos park. The great thing
is that the temperature is always just perfect for hiking.
