I got a lot of comments (thankyou SO much by the way!) and requests for a tutorial on this shot and how I did it. So I made a tutorial for it! It's seriously one of the easiest and fastest Photoshop manipulations, even if you aren't super amazing at Photoshop, you can totally do this. Anyway, I hope it's helpful and if you have any questions or need help just let me know!

Click for tutorial!

Funny thing too - I just noticed that this weeks podcast challenge is "Make A Tutorial" Haha! I didn't even know that when I started this. :P

Don't make the blur too dramatic, just enough to soften it up a but so it looks more like real string and not drawn on with a marker.

Using the Liquify tool, drag spots of your eyelid downward, so that when you see the finished image with the stitches, it will look more realistic, having the strings sort of "pulling" your eye shut.

Go to the Filters menu and go to Liquify.

Don't forget to drag up the skin underneath your eye too while you're in Liquify mode!
