I photographed this litte crawler five years ago and it is still my favourite pic of a lady bug - maybe because it is my only one :-)

Iceland's famous glacier lagoon, Jökulsárlón, is a fixed destination on every trip to Iceland and it looks different every time I visit Iceland - which is primarily due to the floating icebergs. Sometimes there are more, sometimes less, sometimes they are blue, sometimes white and sometimes black from volcanic ash. And then there is of course the light and the weather: a different mood every time - sometimes very windy, rarely windless, sometimes heavily cloudy, rarely a magnificent sunset... Taking pictures is not always easy: due to the often moving water you are tries to take a long exposure, but the floating icebergs that are always on the move make this difficult. So it is always a matter of finding a compromise: an exposure time so long that the water is somewhat smoothed, but still so short that the movements of the icebergs do not result in blurring...
