Fabian Fontenelle is a Zuni-Omaha tribal dancer. He is a member of the Zuni Pueblo Tribe of Zuni, New Mexico and is also part Omaha, Cherokee and French. Fabian has been dancing ever since he was able to walk and comes from a long line of ‘family performers’. Fabian himself is an original member of the world renowned American Indian Dance Theatre. As a member of this dance troupe he has performed for world audiences in such places as Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, Australia, Canada, and throughout the United states including Alaska and Hawaii. Fabian designs, makes and beads all his own costumes. He drums and sings, is a traditional storyteller and he is a keen artist painting pictures of native dancers. #3 of 4 new uploads....series of shots taken at the height of the second rekindling of the Antelope Creek fire....this one was shot from the Lamar Valley...just the day previous, the fire was over 80% contained, but the winds were so fierce that the embers reignited...kind of spooky to see, after having hiked all the way to the top of Mt. Washburn just a few hours earlier and no smoke in sight....just goes to show the mighty force of nature & how quickly conditions can change.
