Ucluelet, on Vancouver Island, is among my favourite places I've been to in Canada. I was only there for a few hours, but I will always remember that day.
As we arrived at the Lighthouse Loop trail it was totally foggy. This photo is when it began to clear up. The right side is deliberately less saturated to mimic the environment as it was in the fog.
It was only briefly sunny as on the left side, before the lush green coastline was plunged back into the fog again less than 10 minutes later.
Not only the light, but the sounds and smell of this place linger in my memory. The buoy pinging off in the distance, the wind rustling the leaves; the smell of the sea air and forest mingling sweetly.
I don't know if this place is like this everyday, but I'd like to imagine it is.
An everlasting state of tranquil transition.
