Toko Telo (group of three), who released their first album in 2017, brought together well known musicians from in and around Tulear (Toliara) in southwest Madagascar. They include D'Gary, whose 1990s collaboration with Henry Kaiser and David Lindley helped popularise Malagasy music in the west. After the death of accordionist Regis Gizavo, his replacement is a guitarist Joël Rabesolo (from Antsirabe in the centre of the island).
