Kate Young grew up near Edinburgh and has been part of Ethno in Transit, Moulettes and the Songs of Separation project. Her most recent album consists of songs she wrote with environmental themes and often incorporating traditional styles. For this concert she was joined by Patsy Reid and Su-a Lee. I have photographed Reid with her own groups, VAMM, Kathryn Tickell, Rona Wikie and a Made in Perthshire concert (www.flickr.com/photos/kmlivemusic/tags/patsyreid,-kateint...). Su-a Lee combines a Classical music career with being the first call cellist on the Scottish Folk scene. I have seen her before with Patsy Reid, Duncan Chisholm, Lori Watson and Colin Steele, but this is the first time I hace managed to get a shot of her.
