28th (or rather early hours of 29th) January 2017 at Drygate Brewery, Glasgow.
Late Night Sessions, Celtic Connections Festival, www.celticconnections.com/.
Country: Britain - Scotland (including Canadian born). Style: Traditional Scottish Folk.
Lineup: Calum MacCrimmon (highland bagpipes), James Duncan MacKenzie (highland bagpipes/flute), Megan Henderson (fiddle/step dancer), Ewan Robertson (g), James Lindsay (b).
Breabach are one of the bands that I have seen most often at the Celtic Connections Festival Club or Late Night Sessions - in 2006, 2008, 2013, 2015 and now 2017 (plus I have attended "regular" concerts elsewhere in 2009, 2010 and 2012). For photos of the more recent of these events see: www.flickr.com/photos/kmlivemusic/tags/breabach,-drygateb.... I have also photographed all five musicians with other lineups (to view these click on the name of the musician in my tags). This was by far the shortest Breabach performances I have witnesssed. A combination of lengthy sound check problems and a 2.00 pm curfew at the Drygate this year meant they only did one set of tunes.
