Tony McManus is from Paisley in Refrewshire and moved to Canada in 2003. He lives in Elora, Ontario. He is known for his ability to transpose bagpipe and fiddle tunes to the guitar. As well as tunes from Scotland and Ireland he played others from Brittany, Galicia, Canada and Greece. He also sang a few songs, mostly Scotiish traditional, but also Anne Lister's "Icarus". This is the first time I have photographed McManus but I have seen him five times before - solo in 2009, a duo concert with Bruce Molsky (2005), as an accompanist for Catherine Ann McPhee (2006) and Kate Rusby (1997), and a guest of Bagad Kemper (2006).
