Rayna Gellert is from Elkhart, IN and now lives in Swannanoa, NC. Her father is an Old Time musician and she first became known as a fiddle player in Uncle Earl. Recently she has started singing and writing songs (and playing more guitar). It is difficult to pick a label to these recent efforts. Probably the best one is the elastic term Americana. She still incorprates Old Time Music in her performances. At this concert there were several fiddle tunes, two Uncle Dave Macon songs, a traditional ballad and a Gospel song.
