Neansaí Ní Choisdealbha is from Cor na Rón, Indreabhán, Co. Galway. Tommy Mellett is from Camus, Co. Galway. They have made music together for many years after Choisdealbha moved to Camus. They were launching their duet album at the festival, and were joined by London based Pete Quinn who is first choice for performers wanting to add piano accompaniment there.
