Lineup: Chris Barber (trombone/v), Bob Hunt (trombone/trumpet), Mike Henry (trumpet), Peter Rudeforth (trumpet/v),Bert Brandsma (clarinet/tenor sax), Trevor Whiting (alto sax/clarinet/soprano sax/tenor sax), Nick White (baritone sax/alto sax/clarinet), Joe Farler (banjo/g), Jackie Flavelle (b/bass g). John Watson (d).

Chris Barber (86 this year) has been playing gigs since 1949 and a bandleader since 1954. Since 1999 he has performed with an expanded line up (more Bigger Band than Big Band) which allow them to add Swing (mainly Duke Elington tunes) to Traditinal Jazz. Since the 1950s he has also featured blues number (this night a Sonny Terry and Brownie McGee song). The variety of styles even extended to the inclusion of a Miles Davis tune ("All Blues").
