29th June 2016 at Old Queen’s Head, London N1.

Organised by the Nest Collective, thenestcollective.co.uk/.

Country: Canada - Quebec. Style: Traditional Québécois Folk.

Lineup: Colin Savoie-Levac (mandolin/banjo/polyrhythmie), Béatrix Méthé (v/fiddle), Sarah Marchand (v/p), Éléonore Pitre (g), Marie Savoie-Levac (bass g).

Taking their name from a traditional song these five childhood friends have been together for more than six years (they are only in their early 20s). All come from musical families (I saw Méthé's mother and father in a group Quebecosse in 2006). I took photos of Colin Savoie-Levac in the Duhks earlier this year (just before they disbanded), see: www.flickr.com/photos/kmlivemusic/albums/72157661343808363/.
