Okinawa Prefecture comprises a chain of hundreds of the Ryukyu Islands in the south west of Japan. Traditional Okinawan music is usually accompained by one or more Sanshin (a 3-string lute).Versions of this band date back as far as 1997, with a continual existence (though under different names) since 2001.
