The Young'uns are from Stockton, County Durham, and mostly sing unaccompanied harmony. All of their songs this evening, apart from a sea shanty, highlighted political and social issues. Most were written by band member Sean Cooney. They have recently collaborated with the Aldeburgh Young Musicians (a music education project for those aged 8 to 18 based at Snape Maltings in Suffolk) and eight of them were present to join the group on stage for two songs.
