14th January 2016 at Horseshoe, London EC1.

Islington Folk Club, www.islingtonfolkclub.co.uk/ifc.html.

Country: Britain. Style: music from around the world (mostly Europe but also Iraq and China).

Lineup: Emily Askew (fiddle), John Dipper (fiddle/viola d'amore), Adrian Lever (g/tambura) and guest: Pete Cooper (fiddle).

This group has done through a lot of lineup changes in its short life. As Emily Askew remarked they seem to lose a member every time they appear at the Islington Folk Club. In 2014 there were five of them (see my photos: www.flickr.com/photos/kmlivemusic/sets/72157648864181071/), last year four and now three. The other fiddle players and dancers Emily Askew first met at Ethno summer camps have departed, with John Dipper joining. They breifly expanded to a quartet when they added Pete Cooper to play one of his compositions. I have also taken photos of Askew and Dipper with other groups (Askew Sisters, John Dipper solo, Oss), see: www.flickr.com/photos/kmlivemusic/tags/emilyaskew/ and www.flickr.com/photos/kmlivemusic/tags/johndipper/.
