23rd (or rather early hours of 24th) January 2016 at Drygate Brewery, Glasgow.

Late Night Sessions, Celtic Connections Festival, www.celticconnections.com/.

Country: Britain - Scotland. Style: Traditional & Contemporary Scottish Folk.

Lineup: Brian Cromarty (v/g/mandola), Douglas Montgomery (fiddle) and guests: Billy Peace (piano accordion), Rick Taylor (bass trombone), Éamonn Coyne (tenor banjo), Andrew Gifford (b), Erik Laughton (d/bodhrán), Jenny Keldie (p/fiddle/v), Marie Montgomery (v).

Brian Cromarty and Douglas Montgomery have known each other since primary school, and have performed together as a duo since 2002. The previous times I have seen Saltfishforty it was as a duo (as distinct to their large band The Chair). This time they were joined by some of the guests on their recent album "Live". I took photos of The Chair including Cromarty and Montgomery (and fellow band members Gifford and Laughton) in 2015, see: www.flickr.com/photos/kmlivemusic/sets/72157650311436028/. I have also photographed Taylor and Coyne with other bands (to view click on the name of the musician in my tags).
