12th December 2015 at the Borderline, London W1.

Folk and Roots, folkandroots.co.uk/.

Country: Britain - Scotland. Style: Traditional Scottish Folk / Fusion ("Acid Croft").

Lineup: Angus R Grant (fiddle), Ewan MacPherson (mandolin/tenor banjo), Garry Findlayson (banjax/banjo), Malcolm Crosbie (g), Quee Macarthur (bass g), James Mackintosh (d) and guest: Kaela Rowan (v).

Four of this band were at this venue 27 years ago in the psychobilly-bluegrass group Swamptrash, before in 1990 most of them became Shooglenifty. I have seen them twice before (in 1996 and 2007), but this is the first time I have taken photos.I have though photographed MacPherson with Fribo and Patsy Reid, and Mackintosh with Michael McGoldrick, Ross Ainslie & Jarlath Hederson, and guesting with Fionna MacAskill & Sarah Hayes, Llan De Cubel and Lahore Ceòl Mór. See www.flickr.com/photos/kmlivemusic/tags/ewanmacpherson/ and www.flickr.com/photos/kmlivemusic/tags/jamesmackintosh/.
