9th December 2017 at the Calthorpe Arms, London WC1.

Cellar Upstairs Folk Club, www.cellarupstairs.org.uk/

Country: Britain. Style: Traditional English Folk & other styles.

Lineup: Dan Quinn (v/melodeon), Ian Kearey (resonator guitar/mandolin/bass g/tiple/v), Adam Bushell (marimba/mandolin/phonofiddle/musical saw/triangle/percussion/v).

These musicians first came together in 2005 for what were intended to be a few tracks on a Dan Quinn solo album. This became a group album and they are now about to release their third. Apart from the traditional English songs and tunes (many from a Sussex Tune Book collection), the sources were diverse e.g. Quebec (several tunes), the Bahamas, the classical composer Howard Skempton, Lord Rockingham XI and Los Lobos. I have taken many photos of Quinn before, mostly with Will Duke (www.flickr.com/photos/kmlivemusic/tags/danquinn,-ducksoup/), and of Ian Kearey with Shirley Collins (www.flickr.com/photos/kmlivemusic/tags/iankearey,-ducksoup/).
