17th July 2015 at Queen Elizabeth Hall (Front Room), London SE1.

Festival of Love / Friday Lunch (free event).

Country: South Africa (British resident). Style: South African vocal styles.

Lineup: Joyce Moholoagae (v), Leon Dixon (p) Femi Sofela (bass g), Nsiniso (d).

Joyce Moholoagae performs in a variety of styles from Gospel to Classical. Here she sang traditional and contemporary South African songs which tied in with the Festival's theme of love. Her band included her son on drums. I photograhed Moholoagae with her choral group SAfricanto at the 2012 River of Music Festival, see: www.flickr.com/photos/kmlivemusic/sets/72157630882062054/.
