6th May 2015 at Guy’s Hospital (Chapel), London SE1.

Guy’s and St Thomas’ Lunchtime Performances (free event).

Country: Britain. Style: Cajun.

Lineup: Phil Underwood (v/accordion/fiddle), Charlie Skelton (fiddle), Miriam Hogan (v/g) [dep].

This band plays Creole and Cajun music, although at this gig the emphasis was on the latter (e.g. songs by Cléoma Falcon, Lawrence Walker and Dewey Balfa). This was perhaps due to the absence of regular vocalist/guitarist Peter Dunhill, and his replacement by Miriam Hogan (part of another trio with Phil Underwood: the Miri-Kools). I took photos of Underwood with David Greely earlier this year, see: www.flickr.com/photos/kmlivemusic/sets/72157651142531271/.
