This duo from Essex met in the local county youth orchestra, and in 1995 formed Serious Kitchen with Nick Hennessy. Since 2004 they have performed as a duo. Swan's choice of instruments shows the influence of her Scottish father (he played the Highland Pipes) and Swedish mother.
