Joe Nisbet Jr from Edinburgh is best known for his work with the Proclaimers and China Crisis. More recently he has accompanied Justin Currie, Dick Gaughan and Siobhan Wilson. His interest in the music of black Gospel quintets of the 1940s and 50s dates back to touring the United States with his evangelical preacher father. In 2013 he released an album of his favourite songs “The Gospel According to Mr Niz”. This set featured material from the album.

The McCray sisters from Nashville, TN are the daughters of Rev. Samuel McCrary, an original member of the Fairfield Four. They released their first album in 2011. Here they were accompanied by a Scottish band.
