This all female group were all born in Orkney. They came together in 2014 after a series of guest appearance with the Chair as the “Chairettes” (they were all taught when growing up by the Chair’s Douglas Montgomery). One of the band, pianist Jennifer Austin, was away in India and replaced for this gig by Brian McAlpine from Stirling. In the past I’ve taken photos of all but one of this lineup - Leslie in her duo with Siobhan Miller, Harvey with Angus Ogilvy, Price as part of Twelfth Day accompanying Joy Dunlop, and McAlpine with session A9 (to view click on the tag of the musician’s name).
