Jazz guitarist John Scofield is from Dayton, Ohio and R and B singer/pianist Jon Cleary from Cranbrook, Kent. They collaborated (with others) on the 2009 album "Piety Street" and subsequent tours (I saw them at the Queen Elizabeth Hall). Then the focus was on Gospel Music. Here it is was classic New Orleans infused Rand B and Blues. I had seen Scofield 7 times before, but never taken photos. On the other hand I photographed Cleary on 2 of the 8 times I had seen him - with his own band and with Dr John [to view click on his name in my tags]. Scofield was playing a sonic blue Telecaster-style guitar with an Ibanez logo. Some people believe it was a "lawsuit" guitar from the mid 1970s period when Ibanez produced copies of classic US guitars. More likely it was a modern K-line style Tele with the logo changed because of his endorsement deal with Ibanez.
