Manorama Prasad from Bangalore came to the UK in 1990. After early musical training she had a career as an economist, before again making it her main focus. Her accompanists included Akkarai S. Subhalakshmi from Tamil Nada on violin. She is from a well known family of musicians. The concert contained pieces by the “holy trinity” of Carnatic composers - Tyagaraja, Muthuswami Dikshitar and Syama Sastri.
