Donegal group Altan’s first record was in 1987. Mairéad Ni Mhaonaigh, Ciaran Curran and Mark Kelly have been there since the start. Ciaran Tourish joined in 1992, and the most recent recruit is Martin Tourish (cousin of Ciaran) who was a regular guest before in 2013 replacing button accordion player Dermot Byrne in the touring version of the band.
