Claude Deppa came to the UK from South Africe aged 17 in 1974. He played with the Johnny Dyani, Louis Moholo, Brotherhood of Breath and the Jazz Warriors amongst others. This band included Mervyn Africa, also from South Africa (he made the journey in 1981).
