As well as leading this band Peyman Heydarian (from Shiraz in south western Iran) plays in SOAS (School of African and Oriental Studies) linked Iranian and Rebetiko ones. The band has members from numerous countries - some Kurds and some who are not. The songs came from different regions of Kurdistan and were both traditional and recently composed (including several by the Kurdish composer from Iran Mojtaba Mirzadeh (1945-2005).
