28th April 2014 in Louisiana Music Factory, New Orleans, USA.

In-Store Showcase, www.louisianamusicfactory.com/default.asp.

Country: United States - New Orleans. Style: Jazz - Mainstream.

Lineup: Kevin Clark (trumpet/v), Tom McDermott (p).

Kevin Clark (originally from Florida) is best known as a member of the Dukes of Dixieland, of which McDermott was once also a member. In recent years McDermott (originally from St Louis) has ranged across a variety of different musical styles including Choro and Tango. Both were involved in the formation of the New Orleans Nightcrawlers (Clark still performs with them occasionally). They were promoting a new album “Smiles”, a revised version of one first released in 2001. Other photos I’ve taken of these musicians are of Clark with the Nightcrawlers (2014); and McDermott as part of a James Booker Piano Tribute (2011).
